Frequently asked questions
Which aggregate is used for resin bound surfacing?
Crushed marble or rounded pebble aggregate, washed and dried, in fine gradings (1/4, 2/4 and 2/5 mm are the most common; 3/6 mm also available). It must be clean, dust-free and moisture-controlled so the resin cures correctly.
Why does the aggregate have to be dry?
Moisture reacts with polyurethane resin and causes defects: foaming, clouding and loss of adhesion. That’s why our aggregates are washed and kiln-dried at our facility before bagging.
What formats do you supply?
Palletised 25 kg bags and 1,000 kg bulk bags. We export across Europe, including the UK, directly from our quarry in Cehegín (Murcia, Spain).
What colours and gradings do you offer?
The full list above: 14 pebble colours, 34 crushed aggregate colours and 6 glass colours, in several gradings. Not sure between two colours? Request samples.
